Hi my name is Pixie and I started working at Enable in August 2023, after working as a retail stylist in a jewellery store. Having a degree in fashion design and personal experience with learning disabilities, when I saw this opportunity i took it straight away. When I got offered the role I was over the moon to do something that makes a difference.

Working in the arts and crafts room and occasionally the kitchen has given me plenty of opportunities to engage and make the learners happy. Making the learners happy is what I strive to do every day and knowing I have done this lets me go home knowing that I have done my job right.

I love working with all the learners, each and every single one of them brings me joy and makes me cry with laughter. Watching them smile when they have created something and getting involved and excited with decoration making for our Halloween party makes me proud.

They all hold a special place in my heart and I could not think of a better place to work.
